Dear Desert Academy Parents,
The holiday break always reminds me how quickly summer and fall unfold into winter, and how precious little time the students are actually in school. Exams are winding down and the completion of the semester is official.
I know the students have worked hard these past months, and as all things ebb and flow, a student’s academic life is no different; a time for hard work and maximum effort, a time to rest and a time to recharge and reflect. I sincerely hope that students will really take a break and leave school life behind: tests, lectures, papers, etc. Only when a true break is allowed does one get ready to tackle the challenges ahead with renewed energy and purpose.
I know that grades are forthcoming, but grades themselves are not the sole indicator of success. What matters, in the end, is the flowering of your child’s potential.
As an educational intuition, we may play but a small role in the eventual development of a student’s life. However small our role may be, we endeavor in all our efforts to live up to our mission; to allow the butterfly within to emerge from the cocoon- in order to fulfill its destiny.
I wish you the happiest of holidays.
