“Sweet 16” Annual Fund Drive
As this is Desert’s 16th year, our Annual Fund reflects how sweet that is! Whether you have been involved in Desert for all of those 16 years or you are a new family, we invite you to participate in our Annual Fund.
The Annual Fund is the driving force behind philanthropy at Desert Academy. When you give through our yearly campaigns, your unrestricted gift goes to work right away to:
- Hire, train, and retain exceptional teachers and give them the materials they need to help our students succeed.
- Maintain our facilities, grounds and vehicles.
- Assist families in paying for a quality education for their child.
- Continue our International Baccalaureate designation and work toward certification through the Middle Years Programme.
The Annual Fund is the most democratic way to insure that everyone is involved in our success. As important as the amount of money raised in the Annual Fund is the percentage of participation by our families and other stakeholders in Desert Academy. A high level of participation demonstrates the strength of support from our school community to external funders such as corporations and foundations. We will be tracking percentage of participation by grade level, giving incentive prizes to classes as they reach the benchmarks.
Desert Academy families are only one source of the shared experience of annual, voluntary giving; we invite participation from alumni, grandparents, friends, aunts and uncles, and anyone who cares about the success of our school.
